Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of OilTrack, a web application for auto repair shops, oil change centers and mechanics to record vehicle maintenance, service history and customer reminders. OilTrack is provided by Northstar Commerce Technologies LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using OilTrack you agree to these Terms.

1. Your account

You are responsible for the information you enter, for keeping your password safe and for everything done under your account. You must be legally able to enter into a contract and use OilTrack for your business.

2. OilTrack lifetime license (one-time payment)

The OilTrack license is purchased with a single payment and gives you access to the OilTrack application for as long as the service operates, with no monthly fee. It includes the features available in the standard version and its regular updates.

Accounts created on or after the launch date of the current version include up to 30 credits per day. A credit is used each time you add a new vehicle, log a new service or upload a new photo. Viewing, editing, printing, sharing and the customer portal never use credits. Credits renew every day. Accounts created before that date keep unlimited daily use.

3. OilTrack Max (monthly subscription)

• Price: 19.99 USD per month, taxes included, unless a different price is shown to you before you subscribe.
• Automatic renewal: the subscription renews every month and is charged to your payment method until you cancel.
• Cancel anytime: you can cancel from inside the app (OilTrack Max → Manage subscription). After cancelling, you keep OilTrack Max until the end of the month you already paid and you are not charged again. Your data stays in your account and your OilTrack license keeps working.
• Free trial: eligible accounts may try OilTrack Max free for 7 days without entering a card. When the trial ends you return to your regular OilTrack with no charge, unless you choose to subscribe.
• Price changes: we will notify you before any price change applies to your subscription. Founder pricing stays the same while your subscription remains active.
• Payments: OilTrack Max payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record for these transactions and handles applicable sales tax and VAT.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use OilTrack for unlawful purposes, to store data you have no right to process, to interfere with the service or to access other users' data. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Your data

You own the data you enter. You authorize us to store and process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having your customers' permission to store their contact and vehicle information.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep OilTrack available and secure, but it is provided "as is" and may have interruptions for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. We may improve, change or retire features; we will not remove core features included in your lifetime license without offering a reasonable alternative.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
